Meeting Mahalaxmi an Old student

 I was very happy to meet an old student of mine, Mahalaxmi on 20th March, 2018, at the National Seminar on Changing trends in History and Historiography organised by the History Department of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Mahalaxmi is currently a Professor at the Centre for historical studies at JNU. She gave a wonderful key note address and I enjoyed listening to her. I remember her as a very active student and who was involved in a number of activities outside the class too. We had all gone to the Gopal pally village in the  early 1990's to conduct a workshop for the Girl children  and I remember Maha participating with full enthusiasm. It's always a pleasure to reconnect with old students.
