New World trade Centre

On 27th December, 2016, visited the new  World Trade Centre which is a new structure and  has been renamed as One world Observatory. It is an amazing experience and one connects with history and the resilience  of the human spirit for an equally great structure stands in the place of the earlier one. Looking at this amazing structure one gets a feeling of  victory over evil design.  Instead of the earlier two structures we have one structure of 103 floors and a beautiful sight  of New York from above. One World Trade Center officially opens in Manhattan on November 3, 2014. The new tower, along with the rest of the World Trade Center complex, replaced the Twin Towers and surrounding complex, which were destroyed by terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The construction of the new building is part of an effort to memorialize and rebuild following the destruction of the original World Trade Center complex. The work  of cleaning the debris took ten months and involved employees from dozens of City, State and federal agencies and the tireless efforts of responders, laborers, contractors, volunteers, and community organizations. In 2010, workers excavating the World Trade Center site discovered a 30-foot long section of the wooden vessel 20-30 feet below street level. A year later, they uncovered a three-foot section of the ship's bow. In October, about $200 million in gold and silver was recovered from under 4 World Trade Center, which was reduced to mostly rubble when the twin towers collapsed.
