Lecture University of Bristol

On 3rdJune, 2019, gave a lecture on Sexual harassment of women in  the workplace in India--prevention, prohibition and redressal at the Centre for Gender Violence Research in the School of Policy Study in the University of Bristol. It was nice to meet few students from India who are pursuing their Ph. D in gender and violence. In the evening the faculty gave a dinner and a lot of discussion took place with regards to gender and other issues in different cultures. Like many other Universities in England, Bristol University was established in 1595asMerchant Technical Ventures School and the University College of Bristol was established in 1876 and it received the Royal charter in 1909.The Town of Bristol is a port town on the River Avon in the South West England. As I entered the University many memories of earlier days nearly fifteen to sixteen years came back to me and I found the streets, the lanes and by lanes as they were earlier, with out much change. Some of the landmark buildings also triggered a lot of memory. This University is  among the top ten  Universities in England. Thanks a lot Geetanjali Gangoli, Prof. Marianne Hester and Emma Williamson for having me here and the wonderful and very productive  interactions.
