At Benares Hindu University, participated in a two day seminar on 6th and 7th March, 2018, organised by the History Department on, Ideologies and Perspectives in Indian History. BHU was established in 1916 on the land given by the then King, Kasi Naresh. The campus has about 1300 acres of land in the main campus and about 2700 acres in the South Campus. Since the University is very old it has a green cover with most of the trees being very old. Many of these trees appear to be about seventy to eighty years old. Another beauty is that each hostel has a large play ground in front of it. Listening to people speak in Hindi is like music to my ears. I have heard beautiful hindi being spoken at the public platform here for most of the activities and proceedings are carried out in Hindi. As every where students are so caring and good that it is a pleasure meeting many young students of History.
