The ladies Sangeet

 The ladies Sangeet in an Indian wedding is again a fun filled event where every one dances. I was wondering, where will the Indian wedding cultural scene be with out the Bolly wood numbers. Each and every one entered the dance floor as per their ages and automatic  groups are formed. The youngsters were naturally very good dancers and then we had the middle aged and the oldies who were all dancing to their generation songs.Few Kumaoni songs were also used for dancing including the famous almost like an anthem for the Pahadis, Bedu Pako Bara Masa. I really do not like the structured kind of dances that take place now in many weddings where each one learns a step much more earlier than the wedding and does the dance like a stage performance and there is a distinction between the performer and the viewer. Unlike this, you have many others like this one, where there is no practice or performance but each one joins just for the fun element.  Here it was a free for all, unstructured, and just a movement with the song line and where there was more grace, fun and rhythm.
