The tribal museum in Araku

The tribal museum in Araku is a very interesting place to learn about indigeneous tribal culture. I was, very happy to see three boards with a description of the different tribes, their art forms and details about their culture, festivals and religions that they follow in Andhra Pradesh. There is a huge amphitheater but it is in a state of neglect. Lot of worli paintings adorn the walls and there are many shops selling wares, which they claim are tribal crafts. The roof of the museum building is  adorned with a lot of tiles depicting tribal arts. I wish they had kept some lively dance forms to attract a large number of tourists and made this place very vibrant showcasing a culture like I saw in Thailand, where a village is created with food served and a lot of cultural programmes and this is such a hit with tourists, for this culture has disappeared in the outside world.
